The Citronic CU-POD is the ideal choice if you want a USB ‘studio style’ Condenser Microphone at a reasonable price, and it’s great for home podcasting or vocal recording. The internal circuitry includes a built-in USB audio interface which allows you to record with either a PC or a Mac computer.

It’s plug-and-play so installation is simple and straightforward. There is a built in volume control and echo effect as well as a headphone output so you can monitor yourself, and you also get a foam pop filter included so you can ensure that your recordings are plosive free! The CU-POD features a cardioid electret condenser capsule protected by a steel grille.

The internal circuitry is housed in a black anodised die-cast body so it’s fairly robust.
